I stopped writing some time ago and I could give a lot of excuses for that. However, there are no reasons to stop doing what you love and expressing ourselves is a right, and in my opinion, a must rooted in our responsibility.
Yesterday night I watched “First they killed my father”, a film directed by Angelina Jolie based and based on a true story. Set in 1975, the film depicts 7-year-old Ung who is forced to be trained as a child soldier while her siblings are sent to labor camps during the Khmer Rouge regime.
Wrong hearts making horrible choices and good fearful hearts trying to survive and help. This film shows human nature.
Hurting, painful and realistic. Even if it’s hard and even if today, 43 years later, we still do the same atrocities, we can feel hope.
